Our Vision

To create a learning atmosphere that will produce and enhance active and creative minds; that will ultimately make invaluable contributions to society and by extension, the country. We propose to grow and expand our facilities to not only incorporate the educational needs of other family of islands but also the immediate region. We will follow policies and procedures that will elevate us to the next level, and amend them as necessary, for the further growth and development of the organization, staff, and certainly our clients!

Our Mission:

To assist our students in the development of their minds, while enhancing skill and ability. To support the academically challenged and to challenge the academically inclined; so as to reach higher levels of comprehension, communication, and development. We not only cater to the academics of an individual, but also the proper socialization, moralization, and spiritualization of all that enter through our doors.

Our Student Body:

Since our transition into a ‘traditional’ school, Scholars’ have kept true to its original methodology and ideology of keeping our classroom size small. This allows us to continue our ‘one-on-one’ teaching and mentorship with our students. Our classrooms are also equipped with a teacher’s assistant, to ensure quality assurance.

Our Team: Our team is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and learning! We are always finding innovative ways to disseminate information, in a fun-filled, conducive environment. Our team members are qualified teachers and possess degrees ranging from Associates of Arts degrees to Master of Business Administration degrees. As we recognize the importance of Being a qualified individual, we value passion, dedication, commitment, and the willingness to teach and learn, much more. Our team is actively involved in our students’ lives and require equal amounts of commitment from our parents and guardians. We work together as a cohesive unit!

Brief HistoryThis magnificent journey began in February of 2011; when Mrs. Bethel, our principal, made a strategic decision to homeschool her son; who at the time had only spent four months in the seventh grade. She did much research prior to making such a big decision and she also solicited the help of the Bahamas Homeschool Association; who gave her guidance and words of wisdom. After a year of home-schooling her son, Giles, she saw the tremendous growth and development in every aspect of his life; with a one on one environment.

Family and friends noticed. And from there, every child that entered through our home school’s doors has done so on a referral basis.

We have now transitioned into a small private school, who are not only colleagues and students, but family!

We believe in quality assurance and efficiency. Whether students are academic, technical, or vocational, the aim is to draw strengths from each one and capitalize on the same. As the majority of ‘traditional’ students are taught on an auditory level; we believe in catering to all types of learners. Curriculum/lesson plans are customized based on the student’s skill set (i.e. pace learning), where mastery is key!

Curriculum Our school uses the Ministry of Education’s curriculum as a guideline, but also utilizes other resources (online and otherwise) to enhance the quality of what is being disseminated. There is interactive, online learning as well as monthly field trips, which are designed to augment the learning experience. There are several programs in place that are intended for reiteration, review, and challenge.

Board of Directors & Financial Committee . Our school is governed by a Board of Directors and a Financial Committee. Their qualifications and experience range from having Bachelor of Science Degrees to Masters of Education Degrees, with one member being an Attorney-At-Law. We also have the privilege of retaining a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) on the Board. Members have several years of experience in their respective professions, which include, Banking, Law, Education, and Entrepreneurship.

Consultant Our consultant has thirty plus years in education and is highly respected in her area of work. Having taught in the classroom, at several grade levels, her insight relating to various methodologies, techniques, and trouble-shooting is invaluable. She possesses a Masters’ Degree in Education and has a passion for teaching and learning.

Closing We intentionally do not advertise our services for good reason. Our group of students are all attending based on a referral basis. We do not wish to diminish or dilute what it is that we offer and wish to dispel any ideas of a parent enrolling a student in our institution as a last resort, or otherwise. At the genesis, there is an amicable, ‘tri-age’ relationship that is formed between teacher, parent, and student; where all are held accountable, expected to be responsible, and give support at all times.

We set our standards high and we aim to continue to surpass the status quo![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_images_carousel images=”3321,3319,3320,3331,3322,3318,3323,3324″ img_size=”large” autoplay=”yes” title=”Class of 2022″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
